Daybed ("Ode to C.P."):

The frame is constructed from 4/4 (3/4") Sapele wood, while the legs have been turned from White Oak. Stain color is dark walnut, and the frame and legs have been finished with Tung Oil and buffed with furniture wax. The mattress is 3" thick high density foam which is upholstered in house and hand tufted, with a 6" bolster pillow to match. The mattress sits upon hand stretch furniture webbing which has been tacked with 1/2" nails.

Dimensions: 74" long x 32" wide x 13.5" high: (the height from the floor to the top of the bolster cushion is 20")

Bi-level Coffee Table ("All About Angles"):

Made from all 4/4 (3/4") Sapele wood, stained dark walnut in color, and finished with Tung Oil and furniture wax. The metal feet have been spray coated in gold paint and finished with a protective enamel.

Bench or Coffee Table ("Not Your Parents' "Nelson")

This piece is constructed of 5/4 (1" thick) Ash wood. The lattices for the seating are 1.5" wide, and are perpendicularly reinforced by semi-half lap joints that are 1 1/8" wide. The legs are anchored by wood inserts, and the entire piece is stabilized by 1/16" galvanized steel cable and turnbuckles. Tow stain colors were used; "Honey" for the base coat, and "Gunstock" for the final coat to accentuate the yellow/gold highlights. Tung Oil and furniture wax which were buffed out complete the finish.

Accent Chair ("Poul Jensen is my Homeboy"):

This piece again uses 4/4 (3/4") Sapele wood, with a dark walnut stain, finished with Tung Oil and furniture wax. The seat cushion is made from 3" high density foam, while the back is done from 2" foam of the same density. Upholstery is done in house.

Chaise Lounge ("Les Arches"):

This project started as a concept where I wanted to simplify the design process by using the same component for both the "legs" and back/seat support. As much as I tried to get that idea to work through building several models, the angles on the back/seat supports needed to be modified to so that they became more homogenous with the back/seat framing. Sapele wood is used throughout the chair and ottoman construction. Lateral support s accomplished by using steel cable wire attached to turnbuckles, while the armrest supports are attached to the frame by steel rods. All upholstery is done in-house using a greyish blue tweed that has been tufted with off-white colored buttons. 2" high density foam is used for both the back and seat cushions, while 1" high density foam is used for the ottoman. You'll notice that there are two different colors on the wood used for the chaise. This was not intentional, due to me using wood from two different suppliers. I can replicate this effect though through the use of different stains. Tung Oil and a furniture wax were used in the finish.

Cutting Boards:

These boards are done in both an "end-grain" and "side-grain' style. The woods used are primarily Ash, Mahogany, Sapele, Yellow Heart, and Cherry. All boards are finished off with rubber feet attached to the bottoms, as well as five coats of a food-grade mineral oil, with the addition of carnauba wax and beeswax.

"DonRemm" Counter/Barstool

This piece was named after one of my best friends and his fiancé who requested them for their pool table room (and done as a set of four). The frame for this stool is constructed from 5/4 (1" thick) Ash wood. Flexible plywod was used to construct the seat and backrest. The foot rest has a metal bar attached to the front, as well as metal rods on the top. The seat is finished with 1" high density foam, batting, and high-end upholstery fabric that has been treated with Scotchgard. The legs are finished with rubberized non-slip floor protectors. The stain color on this stool was done with Minwax "Honey" as a first coat, and then topped off with MInwax "Gunstock." Tung Oil and a furniture wax were applied as a final finish.

Side Table w/ Built in Lamp ("The Best of Both"):

This piece is shown in two different color options. The wood bases shown are constructed from 4/4 (3/4") Sapele. The top has been casted from concrete, and sealed with a protective finish. The shade is constructed of steel, and finished in white o nthe underside, with numerous colors available for the outer finish (white and aquamarine blue are shown). A protective enamel finish has been applied to both surfaces. Thw support connecting the table to the shade is made from brass tubing which has been covered in a copper-toned finish with enamel applied after.

Dimensions are: 45" tall x 14" wide

Side Chair (CH Strait")

The frame for this chair is composed of 5/4 Ash wood. The stain shown is Gunstock. Tung oil is applied, as well as wax, which is then buffed out. The seat webbing is tacked down by hand. Upholstery is done in-house, and can be customized to your liking (as can stain color).

Front seat height (excluding 2" cushion): 15"

Seat depth (considering spacing of back cushion): 17"

Bookcase

The frame is constructed from 4/4 Sapele, stained in Gunstock, and finished with Tung oil and furniture wax. The horizontal back supports ar.e composed of 3/32" galvanized steel cable, connected by a turnbuckle to adjust the tension.
